ATRAE has also granted the second Xènia Martínez Award to Jorge Díaz Cintas for his extensive research and teaching work in the area of audiovisual translation and, in particular, in subtitling. His books and articles are a guideline for subtitlers both national and worldwide and contribute substantively to the standarisation of this specialisation.
The award ceremony took place at the Academia de Cine, Madrid, on 30 May at 6 p.m. Dubbing actor Claudio Serrano hosted once again the ceremony, which was followed by a debate with the award winners and a cocktail.
